Cabo Fishing Report for August 7th – August 13th 2017

Cabo Fishing Pros Weekly Fishing Report

August 7th – August 13th 2017

Weather Conditions:
More fallout from tropical weather this last week – tropical storm Franklin passed over Southern Mexico from the Gulf of Mexico side. The port authority did chose to close down the port for one day, but besides that day, it’s just been very cloudy and humid this last week – with some rain storms predicted this weekend.

Temperatures this week were a high of 89 and a low of 78.

Average Water Temperatures:
Pacific 80F –84F, Sea of Cortez 82F – 85F

What’s working:
Tuna are loving squid and who bait (cabalito and sardinas).

Cabo Fish Report:
Welcome to this weeks Cabo fishing report. Even with the funky weather the Cabo sport fishing was very good. Large tuna have dominated the action, but there have been a couple of good size marlin’s taken lately – Both black and blue marlins over 350 pounds. Still a few Dorado, Wahoo and even Roosterfish being taken.

Hot spots for the week have been Gordo Banks and Iman Bank, with the 1150 showing some promise.
